Australian Plain Head Scale of Points

The Australian Plain Head has a distinctive stance with the body held at 30 degrees from the perch and the head held vertically from a chubby well rounded body. Fine smooth and silky feathering is a feature of the Australian Plain Head. Australian Plain Heads are bred in yellow and white ground, clear variegated and self (green or cinnamon). Colour feeding is allowed.

HEAD: Full, broad, round skull, small beak

NECK: Strong, moderate length, curved at the back.

TYPE: Short and chubby, length 164 mm (61/2 inches), Carriage stylish

FEATHER: Short, soft and silky

COLOUR: Rich, pure and even throughout

STAGING: Cleanliness of bird and cage.

Note

The show cage for the Australian Plain Head is bow fronted with the interior finish white and the cage wires are silver frost or chromed.
