COLOUR AND PLUMAGE: Ideal colour is Siskin red. Colour should be even and of the correct shading. Plumage should be close and fine with smooth, glossy appearance free from frill or roughness and an excess of frosting.

HEALTH: Bright condition and cleanliness.

Points: 5  

HEAD: Small, round and neat looking; beak fine; eyes central to roundness of head and body.

Points: 7

     BODY: Back well filled and nicely rounded running almost in a straight line from gentle rise over shoulders to tip of tail; chest nicely rounded neither heavy nore prominent, tapering through legs to give a well drawn appearance; neck rather fine but not pinched.

POSITION: Semi erect, standing at an angle of 60 degrees; carriage, gay and jaunty with full poise of the head.

WINGS: Compact and closely carried meeting at the tip. 

Points: 7  

TAIL: Close packed and narrow, nicely rounded and filled in at root.

Points: 3  

LEGS: Fine and medium length showing a little thigh.

Points: 3  

SIZE: The ideal hen is 5 1/2 inches long (13.5cm). The cock bird is expected to be slightly longer. Points to be deducted for birds oversize and undersize.

COLOUR, PLUMAGE AND DILUTION: Colour and plumage as above. Dilution of variegation should be diluted as far as possible and penciling to be practically eliminated.
